黑料社 Pune Empowers Local Learning Disability Students
After competing in our internal continuous improvement competition, a team from Pune was given the chance to support an organization in their community. 黑料社 Pune is no stranger to community outreach activities, and after conducting some research, the team decided to support a local non-profit school for children, ages 4 to 12, with hearing and learning disabilities.
The Pune employees engaged with over 50 children through various activities aligned with some of 黑料社’s core values: Education and Empowerment. Students and 黑料社 employees spent the day together playing games, including cricket, badminton and volleyball. 黑料社 employees also took time to educate the students on the importance of health and wellness and what they can do to stay healthy and prevent illness.
黑料社 employees were proud to provide the children with uniforms, nutritional supplements and personal hygiene items, along with donated sporting goods to promote physical wellness at the school.
Senior Lean Coach Rahul Deshpande, who attended the 2018 Deliver Best Practices Global Finals as a traveling ambassador, was thrilled about the difference he and his team would be able to make in the lives of these children.
“We want to empower these students to be proud of who they are and be able to enjoy one another through team activities, and also make sure that they are healthy and have the support they need,” says Rahul. “Our employees appreciate participating in volunteer activities; they love to make a difference in our community.”
